Spring Fashion Wishlist

Fresh, sunny days filled with flowers filtering into cool nights…Spring has arrived and I am oh-so glad it is here!

With autumn being my first favourite season, the warm change to Spring is always welcome, especially since it’s been such a wet and miserable winter here in Australia this year.

One of my favourite things about Spring is the warmer, sunnier days, but the nights are still liveable. Aussie summer is unbareable at times and we don’t get much of a break during the nights as temperatures don’t really drop that far usually…gotta love it!

So, to celebrate the change of season, I did what any self-respecting, fashion-obsessed person would do – I went onto ASOS.com and CityChic.com.au and started up my spring wishlists with items that I just NEED to have this season as the weather warms up.

For me, spring is all about skirts. Beautifully breezy, feminine skirts which can be dressed up or down with your choice of top to match.

I’m, obsessed with midlength skirts lately, including these pretties:

Another floral midlength skirt from CityChic.com.au. I love the bright blues/greens in this one. So cheerful!

You guessed it, this one’s from CityChic.com.au! This one is incredibly pretty and would look so pretty with a simple white singlet top and even a pink cardigan for cooler days.

Then there’s that denimn skirt everyone needs to own. The darker the material, the easier it can be to carry on to night-time if need be:

I love the buttons on this CityChic.com.au skirt! Pair it with a flowy blouse for a feminine look, or with a slogan t-shirt for a more casual look.

Of course, you can’t go past a nice pair of shorts on a sunny spring day to help you get around in comfort:

These cute shorts from ASOS.com are super stylish and can be dressed up or down. Sometimes all you need to do is add a pair of heels and you can jazz your shorts up a notch!

These denim shorts look super comfortable, and as you can see, they can be teamed with a flannel for a casual look.

Of course, what is a cute skirt or short without a cute top to match? These are a few that caught my eye…think comfy, bright and fun!

Very 90s, very casual and very trendy! Roll up the sleeves a bit and wear them with your favourite sneakers and sunnies for a lazy Sunday look. (here)

This top is definitely ready to party! Let the sparkle be the feature and tuck it into a black skirt and add some sparkly earrings to match for a Saturday night with no effort! (here)

This top would look so pretty paired with a denim skirt and sandals. Or, like you see in the pic, some denim shorts keep it casual but cute! (here)

For good measure, I thought I should add some cute pajamas to this wishlist because, if you’re like me, once the warmer weather hits, the pjs change!

I adore this silk peachy-pink set from ASOS. So classic and would surely keep you cool!

Lilac is definitely one of my favourite spring colours, along with other pastels. This matching top/shorts are just adorable!

Lastly is this cute blue icecream matching set. Brighter colours make me happy, and what better way to wake up happy then to wear something happy to bed? Exactly.

Met Gala 2016 – my top 10 fashion favourites

Screen Shot 2016-05-04 at 12.09.34 PM

Another year, another display of our favourite celebrities coming together in in beautiful New York City to show off the finest designer fashion creations at the Met Gala (an annual fundraiser benefiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute).

The evening marks the opening of the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibit, with each year honouring a different theme. This year’s theme? “Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology“.

Naturally, as you may imagine, there was a lot of silver on the Met Gala red carpet this year. Metallics, silver and everything robotic-chic was the rage.

As a fashion fan myself, I wanted to share with you all a few of my favourite looks from this year’s Met Gala…
